POSTER DESIGNA Collection of Posters
A tightly curated series of posters I have designed over the course of the last few years. The posters tell stories visually, not only about the movies they were created for but also about my design point of view, experimental style, adaptable skills and storytelling abilities.
Japani (Japanese)
Japani is a fast-paced action-comedy written and produced by an Indian production house, Bombay Fables. I worked on the branding and typography of the movie to create a well-rounded identity for the movie for future investors.
The movie tries to light-heartedly highlight issues faced by an Indian man in a completely new country, struggling to understand the culture and language. It attempts to combine two Asian cultures, which share similarities but are pretty contrasting, with a comic twist. Inspired by this, I too, tried to playfully but respectfully combine the Japanese and Devnagri script.

Casual Affairs
A typographic concept design for Casual Affairs, a short film, which narrates a strange night in the life of two socially affluent couples. Created in collaboration with Mayank Dhasmana, the director of StartUp Media.
Inspired by this thriller, which is unwavering in its storytelling, unfolding quickly and honestly relaying
a story of love lost due to ego, resentment and increasing fortune, I created bold and graphic typography, a mix of contemporary and retro aesthetics.

Jaws
Scary, angry typography inspired by the monstrous hero of my childhood nightmares, the man-eating shark in Jaws. The typography is an imitation of the shark's sharp teeth. I wanted to represent the tightly gritted jaw and the darkness beyond the shining white teeth.
SVA MFAD - 2022Garmi
A typographic concept design for Tigmanshu Dhulia, an internationally acclaimed Indian producer, writer and director.
This identity was designed around the story of the film, a story of a young man caught up in the heavily corrupt and convoluted world of student politics at Allahabad University. Garmi is the Hindi word for "heat", but in this film, Garmi doesn’t simply mean the heat of the summer, but the rage within the youth of India, fuelled by desire, vengeance, betrayal, jealousy, love and above all, wrath.

Servant
I made this poster for one of my favourite tv shows, Servant by M. Night Shyamalan. Through the poster I wanted to show a glimpse of the fight between good and evil, right and wrong, life and death, slowly burning and growing throughout the show. I also wanted to hint at the creepy, eerie feeling of the show and incorporate Shyamalan’s intelligent use of religious symbolism into my own design.
